FOI - Council Officers’ report to Council on The Vision
This document was acquired in November 2025 through a Freedom of Information request. It is the report written by Council officers at the Borough of Queenscliffe for Councillors on the results of Council’s survey of residents reviewing The Community Vision. It is interesting reading because , although Councillors voted in July 2025 to radically change The Vision (including deletion of all reference to climate change and also to First Nations reconciliation), the report from Council officers clearly states that the community was strongly in favour of renewing The Vision as it was originally. The new Vision statement was drafted without reference to this report, and in direct conflict with the Community’s views. It is not a proper Community Vision.
